Quality Guidelines.

Check all your garments with the guidelines below to ensure they are in great condition for their new owner.

We set out these quality guidelines to keep The Clothes Swap fair for all attendees.
We want everyone to find good quality clothes to give a new lease of life.

Please check the quality guidelines below before choosing what clothes to bring so they aren’t rejected when you check in at the event.

Check your clothes before bringing them to The Clothes Swap.

If you have chosen clothes from the accepted brands list, the next step is to check the quality of the clothing.

Clothing may be rejected on check in if it’s an accepted brand but is in poor condition.

Our aim is that everyone brings clothes that are in great condition so everyone leaves with a collection of “new” clothes to love and look after.

  • All garments must be freshly laundered.

  • Check the armpits for stains or marks. If there are any, please don’t bring it.

  • Check the collar for any yellowing - if yellow or marked please don’t bring it.

  • Check the garment for any piling, stains, marks or damage - if any please don’t bring it.

  • Any wash wear - faded colours - please don’t bring.

  • All garments must have labels so we can check the brand. Any garments without labels won’t be accepted.

  • If you have a pet please remove pet hair from garments.

“A fabulous event! Provides a great way to share clothing you don’t wear anymore and get some great quality new to you clothing. I have been to two clothes swaps and come home with clothing for me, my family and friends.”
